MSC container ship and DFDS ro-ro collided off Vissingen PHOTOS




Ro-ro cargo ship PRIMULA SEAWAYS and container ship MSC MADRID collided at around 0330 LT Mar 3 in front of Vissingen, both ships were proceeding in the same direction: MSC MADRID to Antwerp, PRIMULA SEAWAYS to Ghent.
PRIMULA SEAWAYS said to suffer serious damages, but reached Ghent in the afternoon, where she was berthed, understood after being surveyed after collision.

MSC MADRID turned back and was brought to anchor at outer anchorage, she was still at anchor as of 1700 LT Mar 3.
