    Yes I noticed that , I didn't know that containers were invented yet so why would you need container cranes !!!

    and the trucks look like Bedford 4 tonners, which have only in recent times gone out of service.

    I think a lot of people have noticed that. To those living in harbor cities, container cranes are instant shorthand for our times, and scream of the prosperity and renewal that came in the 1980s and after. It really sticks out in an otherwise great movie.
