Svitzer Kent does a fire monitor test at Felixstowe 15th April 2017

Svitzer Kent does a fire monitor test just off Felixstowe Landguard Viewpoint.
The Svitzer Kent, sister ship to the Svitzer Deben, built in Vietnam by Damen for Svitzer shipped over to Rotterdam on the Happy Star. The Damen ASD 3212 tug has 2 powerful Caterpillar 3516C HD+ TA/D engines which give 5050 bkW (6772 bhp) at 1800 rpm.

After helping to berth the MSC Barbara in Felixstowe Berth 5 the Kent informs Harwich VTS that they had finished with the Barbara and would head down to the Landguard area to do a fire monitor test.
As Svitzer Kent was spraying water the Alexander B departed Felixstowe. The pilot said it would be a great photo opportunity bet the Kent could not open up one of the valves to have 2 jets working.
