A14 closed between Copdock and Nacton after serious collision

Emergency services have been called to the scene of a serious crash on the A14 in Nacton, near Ipswich, police have said.
Police have received a number of varying reports relating to a serious collision on the A14 eastbound at Nacton, according to a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman.
The incident was reported to Suffolk Constabulary at around 8.10pm.
The AA travel website has reported that the incident involved a pedestrian.


The A14 eastbound has been closed from the Copdock Interchange to the Nacton Interchange to allow police to carry out an investigation into the incident.
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) has also been called to the incident. A spokesman for the EEAST said there was one patient at the scene. A rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and an ambulance were called out. Paramedics remain at the scene, the spokesman added.
